Thos Marshall

Thomas Marshall was a banker in Salt Lake City in the latter part of the 19th century. He participated in the discussions of city leaders in Salt Lake City in 1868 concerning whether the transcontinental railroad should go to the north or south of the Great Salt Lake. Marshall was the vice president of the Commercial National Bank in Salt Lake City and later was vice president at Fidelity and Deposit Co. there. He likely met Leland and Jane Stanford at the time that the transcontinental railroad was near completion.
