Mrs Loomis

Catherine "Kate" (Ashley) Loomis (1835-1900), wife of George Loomis (1817-1894), who co-founded Pacific Coast Oil (now Chevron Corporation). She was the sister of Charlotte A. (Ashley) Felton, wife of Charles Norton Felton (1832-1914), U.S. Congressman and Senator and also a co-founder of Pacific Coast Oil. The Loomises lived with the Feltons at their Menlo Park estate, Felton Gables. Near the end of their lives they frequently stayed at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco which is where Mrs. Loomis died.

Near the end of their lives they lived in the Palace Hotel in San Francisco which is where Mrs. Loomis died. She was the sister of Charlotte A. (Ashley) Felton, wife of Charles Norton Felton (1832-1914), U.S. Congressman and Senator and also a co-founder of Pacific Coast Oil with a residence, Felton Gables, in Menlo Park.
