the Home on High! Darling Leland was
there, full of joy and gladness. Her happy
soul is exultant with bliss. I know it has
been very hard for you, dear Mrs. Stanford,
but you should be comforted in the thought that
you were exactly where duty called you, and not
one thing more could have been done for the dear one.
Good Mrs. Robertson could not have been more tender; and
every thing that medical care and the best nursing could
do, was done. It was God's time for the sweet soul to
go up Higher. The funeral exercises were very lovely
and impressive. The hymns tender, and full of feeling.
Every one seemed moved to heavenly calm and sincere
sympathy.

In our Board meeting, on Thursday last, the
enclosed Resolutions were passed. I send a copy
to you, with my grateful love. Your little children
and the Kindergartens were never so intersting as now. One, only
two years old - motherless- is at 8th + Brannan streets. General
Brinkerhoff of Ohio spent a day in your schools with me, last
week. He was deeply impressed with the great and good work. The
schools at Menlo Park and Mayfield are in fine condition. Hattie sends you her love.
She is a dear devoted daughter.
With Ever Grateful Love, I am Yours
Sarah B. Cooper
