Your grief and Sorrow is great, but your reliance and trust in God, our Saviour, is greater, Who afflicts most those whom he loves most.

You have been in my thoughts very much since you have had the great affliction, to part how with your devoted husband. I feel it is the added grief to this cup that has overflown, and it is very little I can say to comfort you. You know where your strength lies,

you felt in talking of your son, but in the expression of it, you constantly united Mr. Stanford's, it showed you carried his as well as your own. Dear Mrs Stanford, I know you will long to follow them, but I cannot but say I hope you will be spared many years, to accomplish the great good that is connected

Knowing your faith in the life beyond, you will be happy in knowing Leland was waiting for his Father, and they will be there, when you go to meet them.
