Dear Lady!

May the Lord of hosts give you perfect con-
solation, to your dear husband and only son is now
at home before the throne of God, and dear
Saviour will look gracefully upon you. Husband
and son are now waiting for your coming. May
God help you (and me) to meet them over yonder.

On the 15. of June one of our buildings of our German
missionary schools burnt down at Warrenton Mo. -
(value $19000.⁰⁰). Dear madam, would you please help us
with a gift to rebuild the house marked on the envelope
with a F. I wrote to the Presidnt, Prof. A. Koch, that
I, a poor traveling minister will help with $50.⁰⁰
in two yearly payments; - to be able to do this, my dear
wife with me will eat no butter for one year.

Hoping to receive some aid from you for this
good cause, payable to Prof. A. Koch, Central Wes-
leyan College, Warrenton Mo., or to me,
