It may cheer you to know how you most noble Lady have been unconsciously instrumental in bringing all this about. I am also interested in the charities, and mission of our own land, - and give my time and strength freely to others. Your are burdened with letters and letter writing - but - could you not write one more - and that one to myself. I want to hear of the University and your other benevolent work. Perhaps in and interchange of ideas we could be helpful to one another. - I think some

of spending the winter in Chicago to look into the different methods of Rescue work of which there is such great need. I will of course assist as I look and learn.

My husband is still living; - is Pres. of the State Bank of Loomis. I was for years a teacher, my last position was Teacher of German in [?] University.
