Dear Sir :-

I beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter of May 29th
enclosing annual pass No.3141 for the use of Mrs. Leland Stanford, Car
and Party over the lines of the Chicago and Northwestern Railway, for
the year 1902. Mrs. Stanford is at present in Japan and on her return
which will be about July 1st, I will hand this pass to her.

Thanking you in behalf of Mrs. Stanford for your kind remembrances,
I remain
