Untitled Page 7

Encina Hall

June 29th 1895

To

Mrs Jane L. Stanford

Madam

Allow me most respectfully
to congratulate you on the first
decision by Judge Ross in your favour
in the suit that must have caused
you much trouble of late, hoping
the final decision will also be
favourable and that at an early date

There was much rejoicing
here to day when the Flag was
put up in the Quadrangle on the
receipt of the news

I remain, Madam

Your obed Servant
