I noticed in
the Kansas City paper your munificent
gift to the Stanford University
for the perpetuity of your sons memory
or in memory of him and I think
it a noble act.

But dear lady dont you think that
the sincere gratitude and never
failing thanks from a poor overworked
woman that has tried faithful all
her life to do her duty would be
as acceptabl [e] to him and surely
they would be sincere
