Rupture rendering me unable
to perform labor of any kind
that is irksom - have three
Children who need to attend
school very much, but are
debared [sic] on account of me not
being able to perform much labor
Have often read of your generosity and
knowing your ability to relieve
at least a few isolated cases -
hence I have thus addressed you
An amount you would consider quite
insignificant, would be considered
of great consequence by me
