intend to allow this, to lengthen
so, as, surely, your time must be of
more value than this letter is, so I
again will ask you to excuse me
for the intrustion. Won't you, kind
madam, see me and hear, what
I pray, you will. You will, do
this, I implore you, for I am
almost distracted thinking of a re-
fusal. Think of what further misery
and sufferings you might save me
from, and yes, my poor dear mother,
too, for certainly she too must suffer.
They know not how I live, and the
lack of that knowledge, alone, would be
enough to cause them worry. I
hope this will not give any offence; and
madam, if you will only answer this I
shall feel deeply grateful to you.
