community which we keep in good
repair with walks and grounds in order
and all paid for and no debt upon
us whatever. It takes study-care and
the utmost economy to cover our yearly
expenses. It is considered marvelous
that we keep alive and going and
have the courage and enthusiasm
we do since for years we have not been
able to keep a settled minister, just
Sunday preaching and no pastoral work
because in addition to other expenses
we can only raise about three hundred
dollars for preaching and secure a
college student. They are generally good
speakers and promising young men
of clean life and excellent character.
But there is a wide field about us
which a hustling and energetic
pastor could reach which is almost
untouched, neighborhoods and settle
