payment on it but there is still due on it $640. & I cant see how it is possible for me to ever pay it. but with $1000 I would pay it off buy a few cows & chickens & then the children & I would make a living on it & I would preach & [ ?] God service & be used of Him in the saving of world & replenishing of His cause Now I know of the [love ?[ gifts of both the Senator & yourself to educational purposes & from the depth of my heart I commend it & honor you for I believe God will bless you for such charity & nobleness but could you not help me here & now just a little as in compassion & in helping me help you & His cause in the blessing & saving of world through my labors. I want to know if you will not invest in Gods cause thru me here in this way let me have this $1000.00 as a loan without interest me to pay you back $200 a year for five years. I would not think of asking this for myself for any personal & selfish purpose but to ask as for God that through it I may

be able to go ahead & preach His gospel & I fully believe that if you can consent to do this that God will bless you in it. This is a very poor country indeed & yet the people need the Gospel as badly as any people any where I am called of God to preach & from poverty I will be compelled to stop unless I can be helped in it in some way & now the proposition that I make is freely & simple one that if you will help me to live I will preach & God will save & we will both as faculty in the work receive each his share in the world that comes from God for the service [ ? ?] to Him. Please answer this whether or not you see fit to grant the help I send this letter with the prayer that God may guide & direct as to the result & fully satisfied that He will open up some way by which He can continue to [aide ?] me in the ministry.
