board and traveling expenses

if she should be sick while
there among strangers it
would cost more. Of course
I can not go with her,
she is my only daughter
and no father. how can
I give her up, see her
dieing [sic] by inches all for
the want of a few dollars.

kind and generous acts,
remember your own dear
boy that you laid away
and help me to save my
