to Governor Stanford who accept-
ed it very cordialy [sic] My dear
husband became an ardent
admirer of Governor Stanford

dear husband used to say
of Governor Stanford God
bless you I can truly appreciate
The Sorrow which you have
passed through My own
dear husband was snatched
from me in one moment in
perfect health. I wrote to my
friend Mrs. Hancock who
was living in Washington City
How bad it was for me to
say Thy will be done Her
reply to me was I can not
say it But I say Oh Lord
how long The Sommons come
to her I hope God has placed
Them both in Paradise
