I wish to say that being the space rather
low from the floor we cannot possibly
use the III category of mosaic, but the
heads must be {after ?} the first of the [work ?] of
the second category We must obtain
the effect given by finishing & being
so near to the eyes of the visitors it
must be made of good mosaic -
In case you approve one of the two designs
kindly sign it & send it back and I
shall do my best to have it finished &
fixed by October -
I hope I shall succeed as I have a great
deal to do, & hard work for us to complete
by September all the works now in hand -
After received the design back & approved -
I will commence it & will prepare the contract
& forward to you to sign it.
How do you admire the mosaics of the big pictures
already fixed? I hope they met your satisfaction -
Kindly inform Mr Lathrop that the coloured designs
have been sent by mistake to Leland Stanford Jr. University - Palo Alto
