Mrs. Jane L. Stanford
San Francisco
Madam:

I was in receipt yesterday morning of the following telegram
sent by you "Concluded not to have twenty four windows of mosaics Stanford."

I trust I have well interpreted your wish viz: that presently
you do not want to order the 24 mosaics.

I hope you have received the two drawings for the two pictures in the nave and I beg of you to let me know your
decision about the third pictures on the entrance door of the
Museum. If you insist to have the one representing the ruins of Abyssinia, Prof. Paoletti says he could sketch something reminding the kingdom of Solomon; if you instead accept my suggestion to have a view of the ruins of Athens or a picture
representing literature - we are ready for them.

In ten or twenty days I will send the other half of the big picture and by the end of May I hope to ship the three other pictures for the Museum - which will complete the orders of our contract. As you see I succeeded to perform them 2 months earlier than I expected. I beg to remain with best compliments,

Respectfully yours
M. Camerino
