As I told you I am developing the plans & am finding out spaces for which I and preparing new designs all ? ? objects of the old ?? ??? ??? I am [ ?] for the completion of the outside specially for all the space over the entrance doors which I suppose will require mosaic after the big picture & the 2 side ones will be fixed and I am preparing some beautiful designs for the Museum building of which if you remember, we spoke together in Paris. But all this requires a long preparation and I will be well prepared for when I come to San Francisco. There, assisted by you and in presence of the blank spaces we shall choose the subjects from the rich collection of original ideas. I shall bring with me and I am sure this project will be of a great satisfaction to you up till now - only 2 of the 8 pictures for the Museum are finished and not even

Miss Berner San Francisco Dear Miss
I feel anxious to know if my letter dated Dec. {11th ?} addressed to Mrs Stanford has arrived, as it is important to know Mrs Stanford decision about Mathew's verse, which being too long - can't possibly be written on the picture of Christ blessing the people.
Of the first days of March I will send half of the big picture, Christ blessing the people, and {1 ?} of the 8 pictures for the Museum building viz Rome, Cyprus, {painting ?} archtecture. I wish to be ready with the other half of the big picture by the end of July but I expect Mrs Stanford to be so good to forgive in case of a little delay as it is only working it that we could realize such an imposing work. It is, I assure you admirably fine the two pictures on the sides of the front facade are I expect already at Palo Alto, with some mosaics for the apse - they left here on the 28th of October

And now dear Miss Berner, I expect you have sent the registered letter I sent yesterday to Mrs Stanford I have trusted to her with the greatest confidence the project of my future plans - future which means only a few months distance - as anxious as I am to start again by myself I am glad to be home for a few months longer in order to complete Mrs Stanford's order as I could not answer if I were away. I know that Mrs Stanford's wish is me to personally attend to the progress of the order & this will be done. I have explained that for a material want of time, any new order would not be addressed by me and that in case she wants kindly comfirm the orders of which I am preparing design. My will be done in my own establishment { ?} { ?} and fixed in Palo Alto during 1903
I certainly prefer & will leave for San Francisco as soon as I am free & I wish you would kindly tell me if Mrs Stanford thinks to come back to Europe during this year.
I have thought of 2 beautiful designs for the 2 blank spaces in nave whose measures & shapes you sent Prof Poroletti is performing my idea on paper allow me not to tell the subjects as I wish to make a surprise to Mrs Stanford.
About my future plans I have consulted my lawyer & he told me that I am quite in [libled ?} & it is my duty to prepare myself as it is a question of 4 or 8 months of to be free

I know that Mrs Stanford will be happy to think that my beginning will be with Her orders & I feel sure they will bring me good luck.
All is disposed between myself & Mr Salviati that when by October or November my two men will come back from Palo Alto - they will go there again in May or June of 1903 to place the other mosaics - for which we are now studing [sic] the subjects & preparing designs in case Mrs Stanford will approve them - & be wil ling to have the continuation of Her orders made under my personal & Mr Salviati's direction.
Wishing you to kindly excuse my writing to you & with best thanks for your good wishes for Xmas & new Year I beg to remain with sincere compliments
Very truly yours
M Camerino
