My dear Madam:
Mrs. McKinley requests me to acknowledge the receipt of your very kind letter of the 15th instant, which she has read with great interest and pleasure. She is very appreciative of the courtesy you were good enough to extend to her when she was in California, and of your cordial expressions regarding her health.
Mrs. McKinley continues to improve. Both she and the President are greatly enjoying the quiet and rest they are able to secure at their home here in Canton.
