one who wrote the sweet note after Mr Covert passed into the "Higher Life" wrote me if he could come and spend Saturday and Sunday with me as he was going with his Father to the tea I of course said come as all he wanted was a bed The Church boys claim him for meals. He is one of the sweetest boys I ever met reminds me so much of your darling Leland simple as a girl I take a Sunday paper so after breakfast Rob was reading it I was in the parlor looking after things he called out to me at the top of his voice, Mrs Stanford voices "Hurrah for the University" I had just been showing me him the photograph you gave me of California he was so deeply interested in them

He is a great student having the grip a year ago leaving him in poor health he has had to rest — expects to go to College next Sept. He is my choice boy one great reason my love for him he loved Mr Covert from his baby hood and Mr Covert loved him I see by the paper Mrs Bender to day that is at rest You may have forgotten her, sister to Mary Whitney Hartford Now that your affairs are [?????ing] wont you take rest I do so wish you could come this way and stay with me my quiet life in this dear home is so much to me. Anna & Hattie comes home tomorrow after two weeks visiting friends While they were gone I attempted some house cleaning met with an accident
