Dear Mrs. Stanford

The letters about which I was talking with you today, are sent with this. It was in a letter to his nephew that Mr. Huntington said that learning of your indisposition, and reluctance to go East, he had decided to come West. There is nothing new this morning. Whenever I think of the expressions in C.P. K.'s letter to Mr. Boun, it is difficult to keep down my indignation and to determine whether to reply to his insults to and reflections on Gov. Stanford and my father. His early presence in this city would make it advisable to wait until he arrives. Yours respectfully C. F. Crocker

SAN FRANCISO, February 16th, 1894.

Mrs. Leland Stanford, Los Angeles, Cal.

Dear Mrs. Stanford:

I note what you say in letter of February 14th about Mr. Gage attending meetings and councils of the railroad company as your representative. So far as I am concerned he has for a long time been recognized as the particular representative of your interests, and I will do whatever is necessary to secure his presence at such conferences.

While I have not had any information direct from Mr. Wilson in New York, some telegrams have been received from my brother George and from Mr. Hubbard which indicate that they are making progress in the matters which took them there, and for your information I will embody in this letter these telegrams:

George Crocker to C. F. Crocker, February 13th: "Wilson claims Leland Stanford's death broke Southern Pacific stock pool and will demand surrender of the stock. Preston also thinks pool was broken by Leland Stanford's death."

C. F. Crocker to George Crocker, February 14th: "I also think Southern Pacific stock pool was broken by Stanford's death. There is no written agreement on the subject."

T. H. Hubbard to C.F. Crocker, February 15th: "We have here some Mexican International bonds, some Southern Pacific Company stock, a little Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe and some other small items belonging in Estate of Leland Stanford, not hypothecated. R. J. Wilson asks their
