I am sure you want
to know why I am writing
from Arkansas. Father is
down here again on the
Commission to the Indian Territory
in which he has been occupied
ever since he left the Senate.

the Choctaw Nation, which is
right opposite this place, and
as he had had some ex-
perience of the hotels on them,
the Commission decided to stay
on the borders this time.

the East, and everything else.
I want so much to know.
Direct the letter to
Pittsfield, Mass, as usual,
as I shall have left here
before you get this.

Father and Mother both wish
to send their warmest regards,
and I am

Very affectionately

Anna L. Dawes
