that you have only pleasure in serving others. I did not know until the receipt of you note that you had returned from the east. Mr Dodge and I would like to go to see you tonight but he is just recovering from a very bad cold and it would not be prudent. If you remain in San Francisco I hope to see you very soon and shall not wait for you to call as I am very well now - thanks to my Heavenly Father - The Compliment you sent with your wishes is highly appreciated by Mr Dodge and myself and we shall take pleasure in using it - with thanks from us both, believe me, with dearest love Yours Sincerely, Omira B Dodge January 6th 1895

Dear Mrs. Stanford

I hasten to congratulate you on the righteous decision just rendered by the Supreme Court - I always felt that the decision would be in your favor, but the certainty of it is now most cheering.

I trust a great burden is now removed from you and that no other great trouble will ever be yours to bear. Mrs. Dodge rejoices with me in your good news.

Sincerely,

H.L. Dodge
