SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY,
EXECUTIVE OFFICE,
ROOM 6, HOBART BUILDING, MARKET STREET,
SAN FRANCISCO, CAL Oct. 14th 1895
My dear Mrs. Stanford
I write to congratulate you upon the recent decision in your case which I have never doubted would be as rendered. I have no doubt that the Supreme Court will affirm the same and hope it may be done without delay.
I regret to say that Mrs. Gage is not improving in health and has been quite miserable for last few days so much so that I do not feel like leaving home even for 3 or 4 days as wanted to do upon business. Yet we hope for the best always.
Yours truly
