man to testify that I am a good
Protestant and my children Christian
by him in the Methodist Church--
As to the Catholics however, I am not
so bitter as to imagine they do no good -
though I cannot believe in their [?]
I think their good works and Chari-
ties most praise-worthy. It is astonish
ing, what untruths may be told and be
lieved, even about those most retiring.
Fred and I send you and Senator
Stanford our warmest and most
affectionate regards and we hope
you are both very well, and that
we shall hear soon of your com
ing to Vienna to which we look for-
ward with greatst happiness.
With love, also from our children, yours
affectionately
Ida Honore Grant
