Mrs. Newman called to say
good bye to Nellie. Mrs. Newman
was not only well, but looking very
handsome.

I see from the papers how occu
pied both you and Senator
Stanford are, with the inaugura
tion of the University and how
happy you must be in making
the appointments of proffessors
