and the world is full of sunshine to me and it is with real regret that I send my regrets to the Elkins for the ninteenth to meet the same distinguished company you so royally entertained.My nice little maid read me all about it from the papers and I really enjoyed it all and was happy in being amused by hearing of your lovely luncheon

I do not think you need feel any anxiety about our friend Mrs Newman with the cross examiners as she assured me she knew nothing whatever, and did not know why she was summoned . I have just now stopped to persuade my pretty California grand son to stop his play and go for a walk in the sun shine the little darling yielded when I asked him to go and buy me a flower

luncheon when they left I was taken with a severe chill and have only been out of the house once since, and would not have gone there except that this most beautiful luncheon was given to me I got out of bed to go to this party and when I returned went back to bed again, but I am all right to day
