I hope, Dear Mrs. Stanford, you will not think you have have fully left Washington. We want to see you here often. We hope to be in our new home, 1801 Mass. Ave, in October, and we both shall be more than delighted to have you as our guest. We do not wish this to be a [formal, grand?] invitation, but coming from the heart. Our home will always be open for your entrance. Mrs. Hurst & Helen [? ]most kind remembrances.

I am glad to receive your letter, but very sorry to learn that you have been having influenza. But I hope by this time you are over it. That you are to be in New York early is a great pleasure to me. I am very sorry, dear Mrs. Stanford, that you are having legal annoyances in the case of Huntington. This is a part of your heavy responsibility. But you "know (underline) whom you believe (end underline)," and I trust you will receive strength for all duties. Our Father will care for you in all things.
