I beg to congratulate you upon the outcome of the liti-
gation which has been pending in our United States Supreme Court.
I feel that the decision is not only the occasion for rejoicing among
those who are immediately engaged in the work of the University but
that it marks as well an enlarged opportunity for every educational
interest upon the coast. The added prosperity of Stanford will
bring renewed success of every progressive educational institution
upon the coast.
