Senator Stanford will come to New York before I
sail for England on the 23rd of next month.
She says she is afraid it is perfectly hopeless to
ask you to come here & stay with her but she
& I both hope very much that when you do
come you will keep one or two evenings free to spend
with us, as we both want so much to see you
