they are listening to the
words of Jesus, our savior
but they are also kneeling
at his feet asking His
protecting care and
watchfulness over one they
left on Earth, and it is
this that assists me.
That a dear Christian woman
like yourself, a stranger
has prayed for me, and
taken an interest in me
and has [?] God's gift
your little child to [?]
me, touches me more
than I am able to tell.
Oh! that I may prove
worthy of your esteem.
