[ Large picture post card, Panorama von Murren, featuring mountain peaks around Murren, Switzerland]

July 16th, 1901

Dear Mrs Jordan

I have been here a week tomorrow and find it most beautiful and wonderful. Under the mark of the cross is the Hotel where I am staying and this photo is a truthful picture as the mountains now look covered with snow. I am here for air after cure. The heat at Lucerne and Interlaken was unbearable to me - here I sleep eat and walk with pleasure

With love from Jane L Stanford

THE WESTERN UNION TELEGRAPH COMPANY

San Francisco Nov. 14, 1901

To Thos. H. Hubbard

Broad Exchange 33 Broad St., New York, N.Y.

If it is the desire of yourself and the Crocker's to elect a new Secretary to take the place of the present one, same could be done without my co-operation. What do you propose doing for the present Secretary if a new one is chosen to take his place? I would prefer if a new secretary is to be chosen, that someone not connected with, or in the employ of the owners be selected. The Secretary for the Company could then serve all interests impartially and faithfully.
