result, and I was used
as a poor instrument.
I know full well all my
frailties and my inef-
ficiencies and my weak-
nesses, and the greatest
weakness I had to con-
tend with was the des-
olation that almost ate
out my hearts ener-
gies. I resorted to
prayer for strength
and courage to do the
Will of God, for I felt
if it was His will that
I in my lonely widow-
hood should defend to
the best of my ability
