Christian friend, -

I cannot address you otherwise than a christian, for I find throughout your letter to me, that the God germ which each child of earth has born within it, has been developed in your heart, and you stretch forth your hands to give words of strength and comfort to one who has been sorely tried. I have not been jubilant over the result of this suit

but have been filled with gratitude and thankfulness to our all-wise loving Father, that He heard my pleadings and united Heaven with earth to bring about justice to the name and character of one who is dearer to me than all else. For this I am thankful, to become the possessor of the estate is secondary, of course need all, that will be mine, to further and advance the work so sacredly left to my care.
