I am about to start this evening for Los Angeles. I had hoped to get away two or three days sooner, but the pressure of letters and business kept me at home. I gave up using the carbolic acid tube, thinking [/ left hand side] [right hand side] it wiser to let nature take its course, while using precaution not to add to the cold by exposure to wind and cold. I hope somewhere in the south I shall leave this little annoyance behind me.
