This interview, made the [--15th--] day of June, in the year of our Lord, one thousand nine hundred, Between Jane Lathrop Stanford, of the County of San Clara, State of California the party of the first part, and Thomas Seale of the County of Santa Clara, State of California, the party of the second part; WITNESSETH, That the said party of the first part, for and in consideratiom of the sum of one dollar to her in hand paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, does by these

Pacific Company's right-of-way.

That the aforesaid strip of land is conveyed unto the said party of the second part for road purposes, and it is hereby reserved unto the said party of the first part her heirs or assigns forever the free and undisturbed use of the said strip of land for road purposes.

Together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any ways appertaining. To have and to hold all and singular the said premises, together with the appurtenanes, unto the said party of the second part, and to his heirs and assigns forever.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the said party of the first part has hereunto set her hand the day and year first above written.

On this Fifteenth day of June in the year One Thousand Nine hundred before me, JAMES MASON, A NOTARY PUBLIC, in and for the said City and County, duly Commissioned and sworn, personally appeared Jane Lathrop Stanford [hand signature] known to me to be the person described in whose name is subscribed to and who executed the within and annexed instrument, and she duly acknowledged that she executed the same.

In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my Official Seal, the day and year in this Certificate first above written.

Stanford the owner of the property described and referred to in the foregoing notice; that he has read said notice and knows the contents thereof; that the same is true of his own knowledge.

To Whom it May Concern:

Notice is hereby given by Mrs Jane L. Stanford the owner of the property hereinafter described: (1) That the Concrete work, Brickwork, Carpenters work, Plumbing, Tinners work, Electrical work & Painters work

the contract for doing which was heretofore let to John MacBain and which contract was filed for record in the Recorder's office of the County of on the day of and which houses are situated on said property, was actually completed on the First day of October 1900 and accepted by me on said day.

That my title to said property is that of (2) Surviving Founder of the Leland Stanford Junior University, County of Santa Clara, State of California.

That the property hereinbefore referred to, and on which said Houses are situated, is more particularly described as follows:

Double House No 1 situated on the Southeasterly side of Lasuen Street

Double House No 2 situated on the junction of Lasuen Street and the Searsville County Road

Double House No 3 situated on the east end of Laseun Street facing due south

Double House No 4 situated on the east end of Salvatierra Street facing due north

All of the above said property being situated on the Campus of the Leland Stanford Junior University.
