said conditions and covenants to be by it paid, observed and fulfilled, shall and may peaceably hold, possess and enjoy said premises during the continuance of this lease or any extension thereof without let, molestation or hindrance.

THIS LEASE AND AGREEMENT is binding upon, and shall accrue to the benefit of the party of the first part, its successors and assigns and to the party of the second part.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the party of the first part has caused its name to be subscribed by its President and its Secretary, thereunto duly authorized by resolution of said Board, and the party of the second part has caused its corporate name to be subscribed and its corporate seal to be affixed hereto by the President and Clerk of the Board of Trustees thereof thereunto duly authorized.

Charles, Notary Public in and for said Santa Clara County, residing therein, duly commisssioned and sworn, personally appeared Jane L. Stanford and George E. Crothers, known to me to be the President and Secretary respectively of the Board of Trustees of the Leland Stanford Junior University described in and who executed the within and annexed instrument and acknowledged to me that the Board of Trustees of the Leland Stanford Junior University executed the same.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

NOTICE is hereby given by the Board of Trustees of the Leland Stanford Junior University, the owner of the property hereinafter described, THAT all the Shelving in the Basement of the Science Building at the Leland Stanford Junior University, the contract for doing which was heretofore let to E. A. Hettinger, and which contract was filed for record in the Recorder's Office of the County of Santa Clara, State of California, on the 28th day of April 1903, and which building is situated on the property herein described, was actually completed on the 15th day of October 1903, and accepted by the undersigned on said day.

That Jane Lathrop Stanford, as Surviving Founder of the Leland Stanford Junior University and the undersigned as Owner entered into the above mentioned contract and caused the same to be carried out; that the title of the undersigned to said property is that of Owner in fee simple, and that the said Jane Lathrop Stanford has heretofore resigned and relinquished her powers and interests as such Surviving Founder.

That the said building referred to is situated on the Palo Alto Farm, upon a lot of land on the Campus or grounds of the Leland Stanford Junior University, near Palo Alto, in the County of Santa Clara, State of California.

That the said work was also accepted by Chas E Hodges, the Architect referred to in said contract, on said 15th day of October 1903, said contract being hereby referred to and made a part hereof.

This Notice is intended to be the Notice of Completion contemplated by Section 1107 of the Code of Civil Procedure of the State of California.
