Professor C. A. Duniway
Stanford University, Calif.
Dear Professor Duniway

Judging from the number of inquiries that I am
receiving today, I should now say that there will be at least 150
Stanford people go down to the funeral, from San Francisco co. I
know that this is a very unsatisfactory way of making estimates,
but it is the best I can do.

I shall go down on our special that leaves here at 11 A.M. to-
morrow, and shall count the number on that train, i.e. of Stan-
ford people, and shall let you know just as soon as I see you.

Can you reserve space for, say, 150, and, if that many do not
show up, at the last minute throw some of the space open to the
others? There are so many people whom we have not on our club list,
as for instance, all the women, that it is hard to give exact fig-
ures. Our club list is about 325.

Very sincerely,
J. F. English

P.S. Dr. Harry B. Reynolds is the New York representative. This,
for your records. J.F.E.
