Mar. 22, 1905.
Mr. L. P. Bahrens,
Redwood City, Cal.
Dear Sir:
Your note to Dr. Jordan regarding admission to the
Memorial Church for Mrs. Stanford's funeral services has been
referred to me. In reply I wish to state that there will be
no tickets issued for the occasion. It is very doubtful
whether it will be possible to reserve the seats which you
wish to have because the pressure upon the seating capacity
of the Church is so very heavy. If you should wish to take
the risk of disappointment and come to Room 55 of the Inner
Quadrangle before 1 o'clock of the day of the funeral, it
might be possible to provide you with two seats.
Regretting the necessity of such strict limitations,
I am,
Very truly yours,
Chairman of Committee
