Mar. 22, 1905.
Mr. Charles W. Fay,
Clerk Board of Supervisors, City Hall,
San Francisco, Cal.
Dear Sir:
Your note to President Jordan regarding the appoint-
ment of a Committee to represent the Board of Supevisors of
San Francisco in the funeral services of the late Mrs. Stan-
ford, has been referred to me. In reply I wish to say that
all official delegations of this character are asked to report
their presence on the Campus in Room 55 of the Inner Quadrangle
before 1 o'clock on the day of the funeral. From there they
will be escorted to seats reserved to them. Let me add the
request that you should inform me by return mail how many
reservations must be made for your Committee. You will under-
stand that the great pressure on the seating capacity of the
Church makes attention to these details necessary.
Very truly yours,
Chairman of Committee
