To Whom it May Concern:

Notice is hereby given by Mrs. Jane L. Stanford the owner of the property hereinafter described:

(1) That the tiling on connecting arcade north front of Quadrangle, Leland Stanford Junior University, Cal'a the contract for doing which was heretofore let to Gladding McBean Co and which contract was filed for record in the Recorder's office of the [blank field] County of [blank field], on the [blank field] day of [blank field], 189[blank field], and which building is situated on said property was actually completed on the 10th day of October, 1899, and accepted by me on said day.

That my title to said property is that of (2) Founder and Executrix of the Leland Stanford Junior University Estate

That the property hereinbefore referred to, and on which said Building is situated, is more particularly described as follows: The connecting arcade, north front of Quadrangle, Leland Stanford Junior University Cal'a

(1)Insert character of that which labor was performed or for which materials were furnished. (2)Insert nature of title of person who caused this work to be done on which labor was performed or for which materials were furnished.

Notice of Acceptance of Building and Cessation from Labor

Mrs. Jane L Stanford Owner to E. A. Hettinger Contractor

To All Whom It May Concern: That Mrs. Jane L. Stanford as owner of that certain Building or Structure situated on that certain lot of land in the County of Santa Clara, State of California, and more particularly as the Library & Assembly Hall located on the grounds of the Leland Stanford Jr. University (said building being connected with the present buildings on said University grounds)

On this 30th day of December in the year one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine, before me SW Charles a Notary Public in and for said Santa Clara County, residing therein, duly commissioned and sworn, personally appeared Jane L. Stanford described in, whose name is subcribed to, and who executed the within instrument, and she acknowledged to me that she executed the same.
