the national capital for the
purpose of obtaining aid in the
construction of the first and most
difficult section of that work
of national importance the Pacific
Rail Road”. Mr Huntington
is one of our wealthiest and most
respected and influential citizens.
I need hardly add the entire
state of California will feel a
deep interest in the success of
his mission -
