The California Street Rail Road Company
a Corporation organized under the laws of
the State of California, hereby grants, conveys
and assigns to the California Street Cable
Railroad Company, a Corporation organized
under the laws of said State, the
contract made by the California Street
Rail Road Company with the Traction
Railway Company, dated June 6th, 1877,
and the contract made by the California
Street Rail Road Company with Henry
Root, dated September 29th, 1883, and all
the patents and patent rights in said
agreements mentioned and set forth, and
all and every the rights and privileges
granted to said California Street Rail Road
Company in and by said agreements.

In Witness Whereof, the said California
Street Rail Road Company has caused
these presents to be signed by its President
and Secretary and its corporate seal to be
affixed hereto this First day of August, 1884.
