This Indenture Mate the Twentieth day of May
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy three
Between A H Gates of the 111 H.T.p of Placer County
California as the party of the first part
[Aricle?] N.H. Karchrser of the same town
County and Stuto as the party
of the second part. WITNESSETH that the said party of the first part for and in
consideration of the sum of three hundred and fifty ($350.00) dollars in United States Gold Coin
to him in hand part by the said party of the second part at or before the
ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
has remised released and quit-claimed and by these presents does remise release
and quit claim unto the said party of the second part and to his heirs and
assigns forever All of the following describes
lands and real estates to [nrt?] the south half
of the North East quarter of section four
(4) in Township thirteen (13) North of Range
(6) six Mount Diablo Meridian in the
District of Liurds Subject to sale at Sacramento
California Containing Eighty (80) acres
Together with all singular the tenements hereditaments and appurtenances there
to belonging or in anywise appertaining and the reversion and reversions remainder
and remainders rents issues and profits thereof and also all the estate right title
interest Homestead rushed property possession
claim and demand whatsoever as well in law as in equity of the said part of the first
part of in or to the above described premises and every part and parcel thereof with
the appurtenances.

To save and to hold all the singular toe above mentioned and described premises
together with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part and to
his heirs and assigns forever. The title to which the
party of first part will forever warrant area
definite.
