This Indenture made this thirteenth day of November AD one thousand eight hundred and seventy one between Thomas S Barker of the County of Placer and State of California party of the first part and N H Karshner of the same place party of the second part Witnesseth: that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of One hundred and twenty five dollars

to him in hand paid by the said party of the second part the receipt where of is hereby acknowledged has itemised unleased quit claimed and by these presents does hereby itemized unlease and forever quit claim unto the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns forever all that certain lot piece or parcel of land situate lying and being in the County of Placer and State of California and known and designated as the South half of the South Half of the South East quarter of section thirty three in township fourteen north of range six east mount diablo base and meridian containing forty acres according to the United States Survery

On this Thirteenth day of November A.D. one thousand eight hundred and seventy one before me ED>m Martian a notary public in and for said county of Sacramento duly commissioned and sworn personally appeared the within named Thomas S Barker personally known to me to be the individual described in and who executed the forgoing instrument and who acknowledged to me that he executed the same freely and voluntarily and for the uses and purposes theirin mentioned

[preprinted] This Indenture, Made the [/preprinted] Twelfth (12) day of March one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three BETWEEN Marquis C Winchester of Yolo County Cala as the party of the first part. and Att [Gates?] of Township No 10 Placer County as the party [preprinted] of the second part, Witnesseth, that the said party of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of [/preprinted] Two hundred and fifty Dollars in Gold Coin of the United States [preprinted] to him in hand paid by the said party of the second part, at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, has granted, bargained, sold, aliened, remised, released, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents does grant, bargain, sell, alien, remise, release, convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part, and to his heirs and assigns forever, ALL [/preprinted] of the following Lands and Real Estate to Wit the South half (1/2) of the North East quarter of Section four (4) in Township No 13. North of Range Six (6) East Mount Diablo Base and Meredian containing Eighty
