Leland Stanford after being sworn according to law deposes and says that he is the President of the Central Pacific Railroad Company

That the documents hereunto annexed are true copies of the tariffs and rates of freight passage money commutation rates and charges rules regulations and instructions to employees concerning the carriage of persons and merchandise under which the said country's railroad was being operated not the first day of January 1876 according to the best of his information and belief and further deponent saith not.

Subscribe and sworn to before me on this the 250 day of June A.D. 1876.
