Sacramento Dec 3rd 1868.

To Post Master General

Washington, DC.

The present terminus of the Central Pacific Rail Road is at Argenta, 395 miles east from Sacramento. We propose Wm J Westerfield for Post Master there. The terminus on the 7th of this month will be at Carlin 443 miles east from Sacramento. We would propose Garratt Pierce for Post Master at that place.
