Being much interested, I
have tried to arouse the enthusiasm
of my pupils, in which I have
been quite successful considering
that they are between the ages
of nine to fourteen years.

When we were planning for
"Arbor Day", it was a unanimous
vote that we dedicate our tree to
the memory of Leland Stanford Jr.,
of which the enclosed is the address
given at the dedication of
the tree.
