Gentlemen,

We have in our posession
a set of the "Mecanique Ceteste" by
La Place and translated by Nathaniel
Bawditch L.L.D. late of Cambridge. It
belonged to the library of my brother in
law Charles W. Tuttle at one time a
professor in the Cambridge Observatory.
We wish to dispose of them to the
best advantage as part of his library,
and so that they will be of the most
benefit to the greatest number of people.
As but few copies are to be had I
take the liberty of laying this subject
before you. They are in the best
of order. We would be pleased to
have you examine them and also
