I have been looking
over the [ get ?] of Palo Alto and
find that they are choice mares, except
the two (2) year olds and I think it best
to keep all and give them records
before offering them for sale.
I wish therefore that you would say, to
any one, wishing to buy any of them,
that they will not be for sale until after
they have made records. I hope we shall
have some good ones this fall to make records
on the Kite Shape track at Stockton —
I do not think it good policy to send
any of the youngsters there unless they are
very speedy. Of course it is well enough
to give the older ones records, that will
bring them in the list of thirty (30) —
